We are finding ourselves in extraordinary times. Sales of toilet rolls have hit an all-time high and no one can buy hand sanitiser for love nor money! Without feeding into the media frenzy surrounding the coronavirus and feeding into irrational fears, we think it is time to share with you our plans for client work over the next few weeks and how we intend to manage this in light of the growing national response to the coronavirus.
Our plan is to continue to work with clients at our therapy rooms in Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Louth, and Hull – even if the clients are not normally seen at our premises – for example, when pupils and students are seen schools. Due to increases in anxiety, we are seeing that children, young people, and adults are increasingly worried about the current situation and we feel it is important to still provide a service to support people who are struggling. We are here to help put coping strategies in place.
We will be doing this whilst following rules in line with Public Health England. There will be no physical contact greetings (which can be hard to remember as we are all so conditioned to do that – finding an alternative safe greeting can be fun though!) and regular thorough washing of hands before and after sessions, as well as keeping a metre distance from each other. Our rooms have plenty of space and so this isn’t a problem, and we have access to plenty of facilities.
For those who would rather not come to the offices, we are also providing Zoom/Skype/FaceTime sessions.
It’s important that those having therapy are completely comfortable and feel safe in their environment.
