I am a qualified Counsellor predominantly from a person-centred background, and a Child Therapist. I am passionate about providing one-to-one therapy to individuals of all ages in an empathic, safe, non-judgemental, and humanistic way. I provide one-to-one therapy to children, young people, and adults.
I have worked with children and young people aged 0 to 18years for 20 years in various schools. I initially began my journey as a Nursery Nurse, then as a Teaching Assistant before becoming a Counsellor. During my own journey, I found that I had a passion to support children and young people’s mental wellbeing from my experiences with the children and families I worked closely with.
Within the sessions I use various therapeutic techniques including the person-centred approach, CBT, creative through arts and play, and mindfulness to children, young people and adults who are experiencing various difficulties.
The sessions are unique to the individual and their needs as well as age stage appropriate for children and young people. I strive to provide therapy to individuals of all ages in a safe environment whilst exploring a person’s thoughts, emotions, triggers, and behaviours. We then collaboratively explore and implement an individual’s coping strategies to improve and enhance healthier wellbeing.
