Emergency services case study | Fortis Therapy & Training

Our work supporting the emergency services is work we are exceedingly proud of.

It’s seen incredible partnerships forged, exciting projects completed – such as the Keeping The Peace podcast series and training programmes. It’s even helped us win awards, namely Mental Health Consultancy of the Year.

But what really matters, is the affect our collaborative work has on those who show up to ensure the emergency services are there for us every day. And we’re thrilled to be able to show you that impact through our emergency services support case study.

How Fortis has made a difference

Working with the National Police Service and Oscar Kilo UK has been a true privilege, it’s a relationship that we continue to enjoy and evolve today.

This case study shows what the partnership has achieved through the eyes of those on the frontline of the force. This report details the last two Annual National Policing Wellbeing Survey, collated by Oscar Kilo UK in 2019 and 2020.

Within this report, we explore the 35,000 responses to the mental health and wellbeing support that we have been working on within the police emergency service. The reports unearth some amazing statistics around the level of sleep the majority of officers get on a daily basis to those who experience post-traumatic stress symptoms.

It was this early data in fact that we used to inform us when we created the Keeping the Peace Podcast series, a series that inspires to inform officers, staff and the public around the realities of working for the emergency services.
