Training for Emergency Services

Fortis is highly experienced in providing support for emergency service workers as well as armed forces and veterans. Our training is informed by your experiences and how in practice your teams need supporting.

Dealing with traumatic events.

Totally unique to every role, and every sector, the issues we deal with when at work are entirely unique.

For those working in the Emergency Services however, those issues are vast and varied and need a specific kind of support.

Experiencing traumatic events and experiences has a profound effect on employees, as well as those supervising them, so it is imperative that everyone has the best levels of support and understanding.

Fortis is highly experienced in providing therapy to those in the emergency services as well as armed forces and veterans.

This helps us in informing the training we develop to support your teams working in those services – for example in the Police Force.

The purpose of Keeping the Peace.

We first presented the idea of 'Keeping the Peace' to Humberside Police Force and subsequently Oscar Kilo - the National Police Wellbeing service.

This has evolved in to training days, Keeping the Peace, Keeping the Peace Too, SLT development and feedback sessions, Trauma Awareness Training, Trauma-informed Approaches to Policing and a series of webinars across the UK forces.

Added to this is the Keeping the Peace Podcast with three series hosted by our very own MD Alexis, being distributed internationally on all platforms.
