What is Therapy?

Therapy can be life-saving and life-changing - allowing someone in to hear your inner voice to understand what is going on for you and why you might be feeling the way you are is really personal.

With therapy, you don't have to come with any answers. You don't even need to come to a session knowing what you're going to talk about. But you will find, over time, you have come to some new realisations and new discoveries that can help you move forward.

We work in a non-judgmental way – we aren’t here to judge you, we are here to help.

Do I need to attend sessions in person?

No, you don’t have to see us in person if you prefer not to or if we don’t have a therapy space in your area. We work with hundreds of people across the UK via online therapy, and our sessions are just as effective without meeting in person. If online accessibility is difficult, we also offer telephone sessions.

I need to cancel, what do I do?

You can call the operations team who will let your team member know.Ā  We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice or the work we are doing is chargeable.

How many sessions do I have to have?

You can have as many sessions as you need. There's no minimum or maximum requirement. However, we recommend at least six sessions for therapy and at least three monthly sessions for therapeutic coaching. This gives you enough time to build a strong relationship with your therapist or coach and to start seeing some progress.

How long is the waiting list?

We work hard not to have one. There may be a wait if there is a specific therapist that we feel would be best for you and they are either fully booked or on leave but other than that we do our best to arrange for you to begin as soon as we possibly can.

What if I know or recognise my therapist from the outside world?

This may happen very occasionally and if it makes you feel uncomfortable you are more than welcome to let us know if there is a therapist you’d rather not work with. Confidentially of course. You can always research our team beforehand and get to know our therapists prior to your appointment too.

How much does it cost?

Because of the difference in services we provide, we recommend you always talk to us about the costs or our services.

How do I use my private health insurance to access your services?

Some of our therapists are registered with BUPA, AXA and AVIVA. You can also claim health insurance through some providers through invoices – if you would like to more, get in touch.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching focuses on both professional and personal development. Whether you’re a business owner, leader, manager, or at the beginning of your career, business coaching can help you build leadership skills, create effective business strategies, and achieve your work goals.

One-to-one therapy can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thoughts, and find different solutions to your problems.

Do you do free therapy?

We work with you to ensure therapy is as accessible as possible. We have options for those who need financial support including access to our community fund in partnership with the O’Flynn foundation, as well as giving you the option to work with therapists that are currently training.Ā

This is dependent on your circumstances and the funds available.Ā  We are required to apply for funds and so this needs to be considered too.
