Debi Bell
Why | I spent nearly 30 years in senior leadership across supply chain and strategy, working for some of the UK's biggest organisations. I saw first-hand what pressure does to people, and to their relationships. During the pandemic I became a Samaritan, and that experience of just sitting with people in their hardest moments changed the direction of my whole career. It led me to retrain as a counsellor, so I could help people with the things I used to watch them carry silently at work.
Who | I work with individuals and couples, in person in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, and online. I specialise in relationship difficulties, burnout, career transition, redundancy, grief and midlife issues, often with clients navigating high-pressure careers.
How | With couples I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), which I trained in through ICEEFT. With individuals I work Person-Centred. I'm a Registered Member of the BACP.
My Passion | 90ās dance music.
My Little-Known Fact | I'm a keen reader, always got a book on the go.
My Self-Care Tip | Swimming. Nothing clears my head like getting in the water.
