Diane Fowler
Why | Having worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings, I found myself interested in the lives of others and the struggles they have experienced and are currently experiencing. My own childhood was chaotic, and I struggled to be heard. I came into counselling because I feel everyone needs to feel listened to and heard, validating their feelings.
Who | Adults
How | Through person-centered therapy, I create a safe and confidential space for clients to open up and explore without fear of judgment, using empathic understanding.
My Passion | When I get the chance, I love to run, not only for physical fitness but also for mental wellbeing. I have completed several half marathons, raising money for charities close to my heart. I love walking in nature, whether on a hot sunny day or wrapped up in the winter months. I also love to sit and cross-stitch, creating pretty works of art. I find it a relaxing way to unwind.
My Little Known Fact | I am quite the thrill seeker when I get the chance. I completed my first 15,000-foot tandem skydive in June 2024 and aim to do another within the next 12 months! Other exciting activities have included zip wires and fire walking.
My Self-Care Tip | Listen to your body and mind. Sleep and rest are vital in order to fully function. Find what works and make time for yourself.
