Elle Walsh
Why |Ā I became a therapist because I wanted to be a person who sees the child as their authentic self and give them an experience of trust, safety and acceptance. I want to walk alongside a child in their journey of growth and help them make sense of their world.
Who |Ā I work with children and young people.
How |Ā I have integrative training which means I draw on techniques from different established theories and skills and tailor them to your childās unique set of circumstances. I specialise in play therapy and person-centred therapy.
My Passion |Ā My passion is to give a child the experience of trust, safety, acceptance and empathy. This is true in the therapy room and in my own home.
My Little Known Fact |Ā The journey of being a Mother to my two little boys is the most challenging yet most rewarding experience. They are my greatest joy and biggest achievement in life.
My Self-care Tip |Ā Self-care and self-compassion is how you take your power back. Prioritise moments for you each day. Even if it is just 5 minutes in the sunshine with a cup of tea, make it mindful. Look around, take a breath, hear the birds singing, feel the warm kiss of the sun, smell the spring flowers and allow all your senses to engage with what is around you. Let it remind you of the possibilities of growth and give yourself grace, you are doing good enough.
