Emma Devai
Why | Growing up, I struggled with the way I looked and often felt like I wasnāt good enough. Those experiences shaped my curiosity about why we come to see ourselves in certain ways and how our experiences can influence the relationship we have with ourselves. Becoming a counsellor gave me the opportunity to use that curiosity to help others understand themselves with more compassion and begin to see their own worth.
Who | I work with children, young people and adults, supporting them with things such as low self-worth, overthinking, anxiety, people-pleasing and difficult life experiences.
How | Iām an integrative counsellor, which means I donāt believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I adapt the way I work to the individual, creating a space where you can feel heard, understood and able to be yourself without judgement.
My Passion | Iām fascinated by people and what sits underneath the way we think, feel and behave. Outside of counselling, I love spending time with my family, being outdoors and enjoying the simple things in life.
My Little-Known Fact | I have a Masterās degree in Criminal Justice and Crime Control. Iāve always been curious about the story behind behaviour and understanding what leads people down different paths in life. I also enjoy walking in nature and taking photos of all the beautiful wildlife
My Self-Care Tip | Always make time for the things you enjoy.
