Evonne Austen
Why | Having experienced Art Therapy as a teenager and the positive impact it had on me, I decided then that I wanted to be an Art Therapist myself. Since then, my goal has been to share the power of creative therapies and aid others in their recovery and wellbeing.
Having worked in a variety of settings - ranging from young children to older adults, including schools, community, NHS, and forensic settings - I believe that everyone has the right to a voice and access to support. I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgemental space to facilitate this.
Who | Children, young people, and adults
How | Art Therapy, psychodynamic, person-centred. I use a non-directive approach alongside a range of directive and creative play methods, depending on the individual.
My Passion | Art is still my passion - especially clay these days! I love spending time with family and friends and getting outside in nature.
My Little Known Fact | I have never had a steak in my life!
My Self-care Tip | Take time to get outside - itās amazing how much it can change how you feel.
