Fiona Burr
Why | I became a Therapist as I have always found myself naturally being a good listener and wanting to help people. There have been many difficult areas in my life where I have struggled to get through and never felt heard. Every individual has the right to be heard. Therefore, I put my passion for helping people into practice and completed my degree, as I didn't like the idea of people going through their struggles and problems alone. As a Therapist, I want people to feel safe and not judged and to encourage growth and a positive mindset.
Who | Children, young people, and adults.
How | Integrative, person-centred counselling and play therapy.
My Passion | I love my family and friends. My passion is being outdoors in nature and around water and animals, and I strive to build a happy life for myself and my family.
My Little Known Fact | I love singing and dancing, but it is definitely best kept behind closed doors. I love to laugh and hear laughter.
My Self-care Tip | Remember, your needs and wants are important. Try to get outdoors and be active - nature can do wonders for your mood. Be comfortable with your own company and make time to do things you enjoy and that make you happy.
