Jacqui Foster
Why | I became a therapist because I was interested in people and how they ātickā. I had worked for a number of years as a manager of a team and was aware of how different we all are and how differently two people can respond to the same situation. I was intrigued and wanted to gain a greater understanding of others and myself and how I could help support others with their difficulties further. That led to an introductory course in counselling, and I was hooked! I love my role and working with Fortis.
Who | I work with adults and young people for 1-2-1 therapy, mediation, relationship support, supervision, coaching and reflective practice. I also deliver training.
How | I therapeutically work in an integrative way using several models of therapy, strategies, and techniques. I have a degree in person centred therapy and a diploma in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). I also have a diploma in Supervision.
My Passion | I love the outdoors and nature ā walking, gardening, exploring, appreciating it and just being in it!
My Little Known Fact | I am not a natural blond! Haha!
My Self-care Tip | Make time for yourself each day to reflect on your day and check in with how you are feeling and give yourself the self-care you need.
